‘Do these look like protesters?’: Sen. Lindsey Graham tweets photos from Benghazi

The FBI late yesterday released surveillance photos of three men it says were on the grounds of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, when it was attacked on Sept. 11, 2012. In its bulletin, the FBI was careful to note that the men pictured are not suspects in the attack which killed four Americans, but they are wanted for questioning:

The FBI is now asking Libyans and people around the world for additional information related to the attacks, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

We are seeking information about three individuals who were on the grounds of the U.S. Special Mission when it was attacked. These individuals may be able to provide information to help in the investigation.

Graham’s tweet obviously is a reference to the Obama administration’s story that the fatal attacks were the result of a spontaneous protest against a YouTube video, but those certainly don’t look like protest signs in the men’s hands. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton isn’t the only one wonder what difference, at this point, it makes.

Statement from Lindsey Graham on War with Iraq

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) made the following statement on hostilities between the United States and the regime of Saddam Hussein.

"Now that hostilities have begun, it is time for the nation to come together and support our men and women in uniform. Any disagreements Americans may have had in the past should give way to our shared commitment to see this effort through. Our thoughts and prayers are with our soldiers, sailors and Marines in the field.

"I fully understand why President Bush had to resort to the use of force to disarm Saddam Hussein. It has been readily apparent for many months that Saddam would not voluntarily part with his weapons of mass destruction.
"It's long past time for Saddam Hussein to be replaced. President Bush used the only reasonable option available to him and our nation.
