10. No matter how many Presidents, including Obama, want to erase

International Workers Day with base jingoism, its not going to happen. The vast majority of laborers around the world do not forget our American foremothers and forefathers bravery and I am proud that they celebrate it. And am proud that pro-labor and pro-union (as beleaguered as we may be), reject "loyalty day" in the good ole US of A.

(As an aside... foremothers shows up as a misspelling; forefathers does not... interesting.)

nefarious agenda in doing that rote loyalty day declaration per the statute?

More likely that he doesn't give a shit and just does it because it would cause him political problems to become the first president ever to not do it ex post the stautute's enactment--a lame tradition that serves as its own justification.

Loyalty day is a creepy concept, just to be clear where we agree.
