and so does most of the public.

But until the next round of elections, we cannot change anything.

Can we count you in? Or can we count on you to only complain about the status quo?

The choice between a crappy lying candidate or a really crappy sociopathic candidate?

Define your terms.

(Here's a hint for you: if it involves holding my nose to vote, it ain't happening.)

I hope you enjoy 2010 revisited, with all the committee assignments and decisions as to what bills will be brought to the House and/or Senate floor going to the gop.

And if your really refuse to hold your nose long enough ... I don't want to see you postinjg a damn thing comlaining of the SCOTUS nominees after 2016.

But I know I will.

BTW ...

(Here's a hint for you: if it involves holding my nose to vote, it ain't happening.)

With that ... haven't you just excluded your continued participation at DEMOCRATICunderground?

there is no rule against having principles and/or standing up for them; nor are there requirements to be a wishy washy, spineless, "'centrist" DINO.

But there ARE ToS rules against the crap that you pull on a daily basis; specifically:

If you are bashing, trashing, undermining, or depressing turnout for our candidates during election season, we'll assume you are rooting for the other side.

.. if I won't be a spineless, condescending schmuck, you'll get me kicked out of your private club. 'Cuz only "people" who think exactly like you, can be "good members."

Sounds very familiar, somehow.

Agreement is not a condition, nor a consideration ... but only those that follow the ToS of a propriety website can be "good members."

Nobody's perfect, and certainly no one will live up to your purity test - so you'll always be "holding your nose" in one respect or another. But if you decide to do nothing, that means you simply don't care. Which means you have nothing to complain about anything because you let it happen.

He/She has been doing something that he/she really cares about ... posting invectives on an anonymous bulletin board, claiming that but for those traitorous Democrats that do not pursue his/her politically impossibly pure progressive agenda; we would be living in some progressive paradise. Even though, progressive only win in solidly Blue districts that make up maybe 5% of the electorate.

He/she clearly knows nothing of the two-party system that we have, or have the ability to count to 60 (right or wrong, the new political reality) or 218 (the same old political reality).

Believe it or not, the idea of a Mixed Socialist/Capitalist economy was taught in my late 60s Public HS as the American Way.

How we've changed.

we haven't ... The U.S. is still a Mixed Socialist/Capitalist economy; it's just the right focuses on the Capitalistic part, while condemning (but enjoying) the Socialistic part and the Left promotes the Socialist part, while condemning (but enjoying) the Capitalistic part.
