How often do you hear of this? A COP got arrested for a DUI car crash.

Orlando Sentinel reports http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-orange-deputy-arrested-dui-20130506,0,5876394.story

An off-duty Orange County sheriff's sergeant was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge late Sunday after he hit the rear of a moving car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Sgt. Kevin Meyer, 50, was in uniform and driving an unmarked law-enforcement pickup with emergency lights on, a trooper said.

The 23-year veteran of the Sheriff's Office as arrested at 11:15 p.m. He said he had been on his way to an off-duty job at Walt Disney World, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Inside Meyer's car, the trooper found a plastic Powerade bottle with a pink liquid inside that smelled like alcohol, the report states. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement lab will analyze the contents.

Wow...this 50-year-old man who's been in the sheriff's department over 20 years was dumb enough to fill a Powerade bottle with whatever pink drink that was? (I've seen pink alcoholic drinks before...liquor perhaps? I can't remember the name.) He should lose his badge and stick with being a security guard at Disney World.

Meyer isn't the only Florida cop who's a bad driver. So is Fausto Lopez, who was fired from the Miami PD for leading a Highway Patrol trooper in a 120 mph car chase back in 2011. That chase was caught on video:

If he wasn't drinking, he's still in a world of hurt for being a dumb ass.

then left the scene he says to take his kids home, but more so that he could sneak in a couple more shots. He was charged with obstruction and off on full paid leave for a few years before finally resigning. He is one of the Vancouver airport pigs who tazed to death a confused man who couldn't speak English and got off scott free on that one too.

More on the asshole here

home for Christmas and got nailed but it didn't cost him his job back then. I remember one other night when he was in town and his buddies literally had to pour him into his truck. He was supposed to sleep it off but ended up driving home.

Years later he was back in town on our local police force. He did great for several years and ran for sheriff. He had overwhelming support! He was really a well liked guy and all the deputies wanted him to be their boss. He won easily and it went well for a year or so.

The next year at our local rodeo parade, he had started drinking early, in his sheriff's vehicle. He got on his horse to ride in the parade ( I'm not making this up) and actually fell off his horse! Shitfaced drunk! Then it went downhill from there.
