(13,933 posts)Ariel's ex-wife Grimilda 'Nilda' Figueroa - Anthony's mother moved Mr Castro and his three sisters out of Ariels house in 1996 after years of violent abuse.
Anthony said he now speaks with his father just a few times a year and seldom visits his house.
'I haven't been at that house for longer than 20 minutes for longer than I can remember,' he said. 'And were talking since high school. Late 90s.'

(10,103 posts)That sounds logical; the man was abusive. He left with his mother in the 1990's. From the article, in about 1993. That's a long time, and I wouldn't go poking around locked doors either, especially since he says he didn't spend more than 20 minutes at a time there. I wouldn't have spent that much time with mine, either, so I empathise.
