Alligator Grabs Florida Man Fleeing Police

A man who fled after his vehicle was stopped by police was caught by an alligator, authorities say.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, police pulled over 20-year-old motorist Bryan Zuniga after his car was seen weaving in and out of lanes in the early hours of Thursday.

After stopping, police say Zuniga jumped out of the car and ran, breaking through a vinyl fence before disappearing.

But hours later he was located at a nearby hospital where he was being treated for multiple alligator bites.

I have no sympathy for anyone fleeing apprehension. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. He endangered the public with his unsafe driving, put the PO at risk in his escape, and wasted the resources of an ER by getting bit by a damn gator.

they do police dogs.

I'd pay good money to watch them in action.

A few years ago, police responded to a call about a suspicious person in the parking lot of the Seminole Casino at the corner of the Tamiami Trail (S.W. 8th Sreet) ans U.S Hwy 27 (Krome Ave). Someone had been breaking into cars there in recent weeks or so.

As the police cruiser was driving through the lot, they saw a man matching the description and attempted to make contact. The suspected thief saw the cops and took off running. To make the story short, the suspect fled, trying to escape and, in the annals of "Dumb Crook News", jumped into a pond in an effort to swim across and get away, all the while ignoring large signs reading KEEP OUT! NO SWIMMING! LIVE, WILD ALLIGATORS PRESENT!

If memory serves me correctly, the gators had a meal and the suspect earned a Darwin Award.

Peace,

Ghost
