Republicans Fundraise Off Benghazi ‘Coverup’

Republicans Fundraise Off Benghazi ‘Coverup’

The National Republican Campaign Committee is appealing to its supporters for funds in the wake of new developments about the deadly Benghazi, Libya attacks that occurred last year.

"Benghazi was a coverup," the fundraising page reads, featuring an image of President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "Demand answers."

We're all laughing at how dumb this is but they keep pushing it and pushing it and eventually it's going to go mainstream. They're really going to impeach him over this. They'll never convict and remove him but they are going to do it.

And after Pelosi took impeachment for people that actually deserved it off the table.

It's unbelievable or all too believable.

...they going to do invent evidence? Republicans are good at pushing bullshit. They exist to waste time.

Facts don't matter. Nothing matters to them except their own agenda. They don't live in the reality based community. They have the numbers and the will in the House, that's all that matters.

I mean, there's an investigation (war crimes) that needs to happen.

And the cowards/complicit in our party punted. Took it all "off the table".

Remember that?

How is it that Republicans' bullshit scandalathons are able to catch fire in the media, but real issues like the above only warrant an editorial or two?

Because the entirety of the Republican Party is owned by the same people that own the media. While they only own most of the Democratic Party. They get what they want from both but the Republicans will give it all up faster and easier. There is no conscience in that party. We have the progressive caucus to at least try to keep it from being a complete sellout. It rarely works but at least they're there.

Or just another round of the Republican playbook with the label "Benghazi" hastily glued over the old title "Vince Foster"?
