The IRS "scandal" does not touch the President. They are more independent from the President than they are from the Republican Party. After all, the last Commissioner was appointed by George W Bush and he just couldn't help but take it easy on those seventy-odd Tea Party groups that requested tax-free exemptions when they requested 501(c)4 status...Then they proceeded to spend 100's of millions of dollars on political campaigns when the statute strictly forbids spending primarily on political campaigns. 'Primarily" means more than half. Did they spend more on "social welfare", as the statute requires? If not....
This is really more of a Republican scandal than one for the White House.
The Benghazi "scandal" is nothing but sour grapes left over from the last presidential election. Mitt Romney tried to politicize it a day after it happened when no one knew what had happened? They have been riding that worn-out nag ever since.
The AP story sound the worst of all. And it is not the type of activity we want our leaders participating in. But it was legal. Congress made sure of that when George W Bush was the President. Now that they might be the "victims", they don't like it anymore. "Mommy, make him stop!"
If they dislike the laws and statutes within and separate from the Patriot Act, then they should repeal it. They could act like real Americans and repeal it in a bi-partisan manner...

just a bunch of faux " scandals" stirred up by repugs , so they can form "instigative committees" to waste time with , and not get any real work done .

(22,541 posts)he's getting it from the right and the left. We knew it'd be difficult for the first black president. I don't think any of us, even those of us from the South, ever imagined it would be this bad.

I feel sorry for so many Americans who are still struggling.
The politicans will be fine.
I can't say the same about the rest of us.

(111,110 posts)But sometimes we have to choose a side and fight for it because we know the other side will do great harm to all that we hold dear. Sometimes it is not a pleasant choice but we do what we must...

The shills on CNBC's Squawk on the Street continue to whine about the most hated rally ever seen as the DOW reaches new heights, cognitive dissonance hurts when one isn't a complete idiot or sell-out.
