Senate Republicans Not Outraged Over DOJ Raid On AP Records

WASHINGTON -- Senate Republicans have been outraged for months over the Obama administration's response to the Benghazi consulate attack. They're outraged this week about the Internal Revenue Service singling out tea party groups for extra scrutiny. But their response to the Justice Department secretly obtaining phone records of 20 Associated Press reporters? Meh.

not likely to happen.

They might try to throw it in as part of the "Culture of Corruption" ... say that by line on Fox News this AM. Just say "and the AP Scandal" with no details as a way to increase the number of scandals without really talking about that one.

Its possible that the Ron Paul wing of the GOP might make a little noise, but that's probably about it.

Of course, they're not concerned about the AP phone records. They actively opposed remedies in Congress which would have shielded these news orgs from that type of intrusion.

Interestingly enough, Obama missed that vote on the shield law as Senator and pulled the rug out from it when he gained office.
