Walmart And Gap Refuse To Sign Broad Safety Agreement In Bangladesh

More than 1700 people died but who cares. As long as they can provide Walmart and GAP with cheap products to sell, why should we actually care. And frankly, it is too easy to forget. Who would want to spend more to buy a product just for it to be made in safe conditions? Most people are so financially tied that they cannot afford to make the move.

During the same time, people get all upset with scandals with very little importance. Nobody died in the IRS and AP scandals. But it is more sexy than poor foreigners being killed so that we can buy cheap products.

The media has effectively pushed this issue out of the media as corporations indirectly and quietly by their actions admit cupability.
