I hope so. I missed it thanks to a phone call I needed to take.

Let alone be a "scandal" or discussed in the media at all.

6. I think this whole thing is a GOP ploy

They did this to the Teabaggers to make Obama look bad. Even the GOP doesn't want the Teabaggers. The head guy at the time was a Bush appointee. I hope Obama takes heed if they find a few whistle-blowers without throwing them in jail.

If that had happened, you'd be lucky to get a one-line blurb on that 5:30am morning show with Willie Geist. The next you'd hear of it would be at the White House Correspondents' Dinner after the president made a joke about how liberals whine too much.

10. There would be no need for him to do so.

Had they been liberal groups, we would not even be hearing about this. Nobody would be foaming at the mouth, trying to pin a scandal on him if they were liberal groups. And, the corporate-owned media sure as hell would not give enough of a shit about it to report on it. They only care when things affect their own in a negative way. Nobody would hear about it, and it never would have even reached the president's ears for him to know to come down on anyone.

13. I'll put it this way - groups that are anywhere near as far to the left as the Tea Party groups are

to the right - and leftwing groups who use inflammatory language anywhere nears as inflammatory as the Tea Party will be scrutinized by a lot more than the IRS. And they will not have to wait to they apply for special tax status as social-welfare charities to discover that they are being scrutinized.

Having said that the President did the right thing. The right-wing holds the advantage of having the public's low expectations when comes to matters of public trust.
