(15,392 posts)My English teacher was an amateur woodworker, and his bathroom pass was a carving of a cartoonish looking outhouse about a foot tall. The door was on hinges and even opened. Alas, he couldn't come up with anything original for a drink pass so it was just a large, oddly-shaped piece of carved wood with, "DRINK PASS" painted on it, and it was bigger than the outhouse.

(7,968 posts)cut them up and pass them out to my students to use when ever I get the inevitable "Can I use the bathroom?" right at that critical moment in class.
To be fair to my kids, we don't have adequate bathroom facilities. Still the kids are not particularly responsible about it.

(38,339 posts)When we were teachers my wife and I agreed to pick up the liquor for a large family gathering. A nearby Thrifty Drug was having a sale so we loaded up a shopping cart with a large selection of beers, wines, and distilled liquors.
Sure enough, while we were waiting in the checkout line, one of our Mormon students shows up with her parents and greeted us cheerfully. Dad's carrying a hand basket with ice cream and cookies in it.
Her parents kept looking at our cart, looking at us, looking at our cart...
