Charles Ramsey, who helped free Cleveland kidnap victims, gets burgers for life

Apparently, creating a special hamburger to honor Charles Ramsey was just the beginning.

Now, the hero in the rescue of four kidnap victims held captive on Cleveland's West Side for roughly 10 years will enjoy free burgers for life.

More than a dozen Northeast Ohio restaurants have pledged an offer of a burger anytime Ramsey wants to stop by and dig in.

...

A single-edition "Chuck Card," good for life, is being stamped in Ramsey's honor. Anytime that Ramsey takes the card into one of the participating restaurants, he'll get a free burger.

Many diners have veggie burgers. Some places they are very good but other place they can be terrible. I was a vegetarian for two years.

It's got just about everything a body needs, especially if you pile it up with lots of goodies.

Now how does one get a free pizza for life card?

A missing 'l' on html.

The Ramsey Burger, created by chef Chris Hodgson to honor hero Charles Ramsey, was only the beginning...

A nice honor, but too many of those could reduce longevity.

Default Filenames

The one situation in which there may be a difference between the two extensions is that of a server's default filenames. When a URL that does not specify a filename is requested from a server, such as http://www.domain.dom/dirname/, the server returns a file from the requested URL that matches a default filename. Examples of common default filenames include "index.html," "index.htm," "welcome.html," "welcome.htm," "default.html," "default.htm," etc. However, an administrator can make the server's default filename anything he/she so desires.

In the case of a default file, the author's filename must be exactly the same as the server's default filename. In other words, if your server is configured to use "index.html" as the default filename, your file must be named "index.html" and not "index.htm."

Note that servers are often configured with more then one default filename. Check with your server administrator or ISP for details about your specific server. http://www.sightspecific.com/~mosh/www_faq/ext.html

I think he could request some fish, chicken, or veggie burgers for longevity, though. There is a big variety of veggie, even vegan burgers. Some places where I live make burgers with grilled portabella mushrooms. They're great, still burgers. At least he can have a hot meal every day from now on out.

the miracle of the girls'(now women) victorious Rescue!

It was Ramsey who was talking about eating his Mac burger when he heard the screaming.. but, Angel Cordero helped too. So, I was hoping he's getting recognition, also!

And in time, Knight and DeJesus "succumbed" to "their reality," the law enforcement source said.

But "something must have clicked" for Berry on Monday evening, said Cleveland's deputy police chief Ed Tomba. She staged a daring escape, and with the help of Castro's neighbors Charles Ramsey and Angel Cordero, freed herself, her 6-year-old daughter, Knight and DeJesus.

who was first on the porch and kicked the screen door in?

Apparently, he doesn't speak English well, and the TV reporters wanted to interview someone who was fluent in English, and Charles was that man.

I like Charles Ramsey, and am glad he is being recognized, but poor Angel has been left out.

Maybe we should hear from the young woman with the child as to who was first to help her.

I just hope for his sake that his cholesterol levels are closely monitored.

If I had a hamburger twice a week, I'd have been dead ten years ago (and nearly was). My arteries clog up if I even smell a hamburger.

He is a truly good man and, no matter what life throws at him, he should never have to worry about going hungry again.

Not healthy? Maybe, but I doubt he will live on burgers. Besides, I worked in the medical field in differenct capacities for over 20 years, seven with cancer patients exclusively. And I have spent many years independently studying nutrition and alternative therapies and more. My conclusion, at this time, is that the greatest asset to health and long life is happiness.

Ramsey . . .does not endorse the consortium of Northeast Ohio restaurants offering "Ramsey Burgers" or who are promoting that Ramsey can receive free burgers for life.

"I never told these people they could use my name for this," Ramsey said in the written statement.

. . . Ramsey has not authorized any merchandise and has no website or social media accounts.
