left this note with the miami dade police department under officer commendations.

I would like to commend the wonderful work your officers did in restraining the 14 yr old negro who looked at you sideways. Its good to know that you wont let that sort of thing go unpunished. It really should be the law that these young future felons be locked up as soon as they leave the womb,( maybe slap their mother for being a lose woman for good measure.) Keep, up the fine work, Killing maiming and basically frightening children ,before you know it there wont be anyone left to protect and serve and we will all be able to shoot and kill or imprison any brown person we want without worrying about stand our ground laws. With fine officers like this on duty we can all rest assured that florida is a safe and secure place to live ,unless of coarse you are black and carrying a bag of skittles or a puppy. Bravo

People do judge the written word, and the fewer spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes you make, the stronger your argument. Too late now, though.

Yours was a sincere effort, the execution just could have been better.

Looking it over, i don't see any misspellings.I hope you feel superior .I did`nt have a lot of money to go to college.Do you have anything else you which to criticize me for .I am overweight , and have yellow teeth compared to super models and tv stars. maybe a riff or two on those topics ?

You may not have gone to college, but the kinds of errors made in this missive you should have learned in grade school. How about spaces in between sentences, and no spaces in between the last word in a sentence and the period? Literacy has a long history or transcending what people look like to give them cred in the world. See Stephen Hawking, Helen Keller, Ray Charles, Martin Luther King, Jr., Susan B. Anthony among many, many others.

lower case "F" , do we have to put a sarcasm after that? I took it that it implied the cops and the and state were small, weak, and petty.

Now spell check this and ask/aks me if give a damn.

Open your dictionary to the word "coarse." That word had no role in that paragraph.

That's just for starters. The punctuation is problematic in the extreme. I would not be terribly worried about a single lower case "f," were that the only issue with the diatribe.

Like it or not, we develop a reputation by the manner in which we express ourselves. As I indicated previously, this effort was perhaps sincere, but it was most assuredly poorly executed.

Because of that, it won't have the intended effect. Instead, it will create the impression that people who favor equality and fairness in treatment by the police for all, regardless of race, age or other factors, and who oppose police brutality, particularly against children, are lacking in formal education and are unable to express themselves effectively.

the points about grammar and spelling are not irrelevant but perhaps the piling on could have been gentler.

dade and broward county particularly have police brutality issues . . . both municipal and county. perhaps one day this will change. i don't expect i'll be around then.
