Paul Ryan and other Ayn Rand groupies - what say you?

The way they bounce between two opposing value systems, no wonder they have gone insane.

I wonder if they would defend or condemn these quotes from Ayn Rand. It would be a lose-lose situation. If only they were asked about things like this....

“ To accept procreation as a moral duty is to accept the role of an animal in a breeding farm.”

“There is no couple on earth on any level of income in any country… who would be able to support the number of children they would produce if they obeyed the (papal) encyclical to the letter.”

What I find most interesting is that these are two almost wholly opposite doctrines. You could not find two more dissimilar doctrines if you tried, and yet the Repugs manage to force through their cognitive dissonance and embrace both. I'm surprised their heads don't explode.

Rand vs. Jesus
Selfishness vs. Selflessness
Rampant Capitalism vs. Communist Socialism
Atheist vs. Theist

It's just nuts. Other than through ignorance of either or both doctrines,* I don't know how anyone can support both Ayn Randianism and Jesus-ism at the same time.

*Which is how I bet most do it. If all a person knows about Jesus, or Rand is what the guys and gals at Fox said...

9. You're making a comparison assuming Fox News watching 'Christians' know anything at all about Jesus.

You're right; completely different ends of the spectrum, and for these people to be able to somehow justify both doctrines as correct, they're twisting Jesus from the bible into Jesus as a self-serving convenience.

4. "what say you?" They never say anything & never process/deal with this dichototmy of values/morals.

They are "wooden heads" or puppets who do not think for themselves responding only to catch phrases and certain condoned icons endorsed by the oligarchy. If they say anything it is only as a puppet controlled by a ventriloquist.
The truth is plain to see but don't expect them to see it or know it.

Ayn Rand idolized a serial killer who dismembered a child. Here is more.

there were an awful lot of them, too. And since it was Yale, a lot of them are now part of the power structure.

There are some knives in the kitchen, and some squirrels in the yard.

I hope you brought your own propane.

Bon apetit.
