Authorities: Homeless woman sneaks onto MacDill AFB using garbage can
TAMPA --
Security at the Bay area's major military installation may have been breached multiple times by a homeless woman.
According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, Suzanne Jensen is accused of sneaking onto MacDill Air Force Base four separate times since October 2012.
Officials said on one occasion, Jensen said she used a garbage can to help her get over a wall.
Jensen, 50, was charged last month with four trespassing charges and possession of a stolen military ID. She has not yet been arrested on the charges and is not yet represented by a lawyer.
Officials said Jensen pleaded guilty to a trespass charge in August 2012 after she was accused of illegally entering Fort Myer in Virginia. She was sentenced to time served.
According to an affidavit, Jensen told authorities she had been living in a boat parked in the base's camp area for eight days.
The case remains under investigation.
