Maybe a bit of tinfoil, but given the merc situation at the proposed Wisconsin mining site...

...it has occurred to me that the fascist right's courting of gun nuts and gutting of gun controls may be more about enabling private and corporate armies to protect the 0.1%ers from the social collapse that they know is the eventuality of their policies if the rapture doesn't save them in time.

It's beginning to remind me of South America and Africa and Asia where the corporations need mercs to protect them because there is no local law.
