In the women's room, women held doors open when they left the stall, for the next person.
Maybe that's why the buzzards quit charging for that.

(1,957 posts)at the train station they allowed one free toilet. It was never clean. It did not have a door! Instead mothers instructed their kids to crawl under the doors. Once you got too large for that you coughed up the change or crossed your legs. This was around 1960.

I have to say I don't remember the texture of the paper. Perhaps the experience of using it was so traumatic that I've blocked it out.
