Also: I liked the graphic, and can't help myself when I see good visuals.

(6,068 posts)even better, I hope they have read all the pious, screeching op-eds and cartoons that I have and decide to convict him based on that instead.
And how fucking hopeless is that DA? Like I totally drew up some questions on this napkin that are way better than his questions. The first one is: "How do you sleep at night you fat murdering bastard?". Man, I could totally do a better job than him. The same way that I would be a way better starting pitcher for the Red Sox than Jon Lester. That guy can't throw a baseball worth a fuck compared to me.

I'm not happy about the DA's restraint in going after Zimmerman, but this video of John Guy's rebuttal to the defense's motion of dismissal gave me a preview of what's to come -- providing John Guy handles the summation. He beautifully applied common sense to the case, points that have not yet been made by the prosecution, & he was very effective:

(8,694 posts)I've been looking for a video of that, I missed it and heard it was stunning. Zimmerman told his professor he wanted "to hunt down fugitives". Had not heard that before.

(6,068 posts)that they have better regard for the rights of the criminally accused than you do, and that they make decisions based on evidence and not on facial expressions.
BTW, studies have shown that people are generally no better than chance at detecting lies based on facial expression.

(24,721 posts)Of course the decision shouldn't be made based only on the contempt he shows for Trayvon Martin's family as they testify, but his demeanor is very telling of his attitude. Is he regretful that he murdered someone that he had assumed had ill intent or does he appear arrogant & disrespectful to his victim's family? Would he do it again?
And you really should watch the video I posted.

(6,068 posts)you don't think that they should listen to the evidence?

(22,380 posts)This shows me that there is hope for a conviction if the summation is close to this meticulous and focused.

Something about this guy. He should have got up on the stand and apologized to the Martin family on the first day of the defense case. I just want to punch his face.
