Has anyone testified that Zimmerman was punched in the face?

I keep hearing people refer to Zimmerman having been punched, but it seems to me all we know is that was hit. I think he slapped himself in the face when he fired the gun!

1. Nobody saw that happen.

Just Zimmerman says it did.

Also, does that mean then that Martin was in fact on top of Zimmerman and hence why he had to shoot with the pistol inches from his own face?

They were when he fired.

6. Agreed, there is no evidence or testimony - all we know for sure

is that Zimmerman had a temporarily displaced nose and some small puncture wounds on the tip of his nose. As far as i know, no one has testified that he could have gotten those wounds only from being punched, hence my alternate scenario.

4. Dr Di Maio testified that he felt the injuries to the face was consistent in being hit in the face

and while I may have missed it, I don't think the State ever directly attacked how Zimmerman received his injuries when they presented their case. They certainly tried to minimize the severity of the injuries, which depending on how you view the testimony, may or may not have been successful.

but it's just my biased opinion because from what I have seen and heard so far I would like to punch him in the face MANY TIMES .

He'd been punched in the face. Probably not by T.M., but by A LOT OF PEOPLE OVER HIS LIFE ...
