(13,895 posts)becomes clear from the juror's own statements that the decision was made on the wrong grounds?

(36,437 posts)That's the way it should be, too, but at least we don't have to entertain the absurdist arguments that these jurors were simply following the law. I mean, the Zimmerman supporters can continue to make those arguments, but they've been revealed for the trash they are. The arguments, that is.

(36,926 posts)Edit: It could be overthrown, I believe, if a conviction occurred. But when found innocent, the accused can never be tried again for the same crime, regardless of how stupid and/or biased the jury was.

(13,598 posts)but she gave away she was a racist. I believe one of the quotes was, "those people with their drugs and crime, we don't want that here." Here being Simi Valley I guess. She was an older lady and had kind of a southern accent.
I guess having a police force in L.A. made up of armed goons makes her safer in her town. You'd think someone like her would had to have lied during jury selection to get on the jury. Sounds like we had some of the same on Zimmerman's jury.
