North Dakota already has spent more than $52,000 defending the 2011 state law, according to records obtained by The Associated Press. Records show that Dr. Donna Harrison, the president the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, has billed the state more than $49,000 to act as an expert witness.
In his ruling Monday, Corwin was highly critical of Harrison, saying her opinions lack scientific support , tend to be based on unsubstantiated concerns and are generally at odds with solid medical evidence.
The AAPLOG is all for trans-vaginal ultrasound, against insurance paying for contraception, and against Plan B. They think abortions cause breast cancer, cerebral palsy and a host of other ills, and they think the jury is out on whether having an IUD or taking the pill is committing abortion. Id suggest checking their find a physician page to make sure your or your family members OB/GYN isnt a cult member.

More from the ND article:
A 2011 North Dakota law that outlaws one of two drugs used in nonsurgical abortions violates the state and U.S. constitutions, a state judge ruled Monday.
After a three-day trial in April, East Central Judge Wickham Corwin said he'd rule in favor of the state's sole abortion clinic, calling the 2011 state law "simply wrongheaded." Corwin officially ruled on the case Monday.
One abortion clinic for the whole state, and the state government is using public money (to pay unethical doctors to lie) to try to shut it down.

(86,656 posts)in particular is too feel better about it because I found that my employer is a misogynist toad who subjected me to insulting accusations and brutal verbal abuse because HE has some serious anger management issues... can't accept minor imperfection apparently.
So I'm supporting a women's rights bit of news that needs recognition on a larger scale to compensate.
Thanks for your concern, I hope it's a quick turn around, this is "day one" of non-employment after the fact, I already have two leads to deal with before noon.
