He could get out of his car, chase him down, get in a tussle, and shoot Zimmerman dead, and claim Zimmerman had been acting suspiciously, possibly stalking black teenagers, and a Florida jury would acquit him?
That father would have a stronger case than Zimmerman did since Zimmerman actually has a track record of killing black teenage boys and therefore being a threat to the community.

If lived in Zimmerman's neighbor, I would arm myself, and make it my personal business that he would never be apart of the neighborhood watch.

(244 posts)and a deep resentment for all discrimination decides to buy a ticket from Oregon to Sanford to visit the place where such a horrible tragedy occurred. What if I brought a sign with me and sat down to reflect one evening pulling my hoody up over my head to cut the wind.Suddenly someone steps outside their home and rudely confronts me, telling me to get the fuck out of there community.sensing their hostility and fearing for my safety I reach inside my hoody pocket ,pull out a my gun and lay them out.
this law is so wrong on such a basic level.

(50,998 posts)fast move.... Not suggesting this mind you, but I think it's interesting to consider the consequences of gun-nuttery from several angles.
Seriously SYG laws are nuts.

So let me ask you: do you think a jury in Florida would find that if a black man shot Zimmerman as you describe?

(42,715 posts)but for now it seems like every few hours someone wants to postulate that a black man could shoot Zimmerman essentially on sight. Leaving apart the fact that it's a ridiculous (and insulting) notion, do the people posting these threads think that a black man shooting Zimmerman and then claiming self defense would be acquitted? Isn't the whole point of the justifiable outrage about the verdict that there is a double standard?
