I mean you can, obviously, but it's not much of a story. If Snowden provided evidence of his claims, this would be an entirely different set of circumstances.

Snowden claimed that armed with an email address, he could personally spy on anyone, including the President. Makes you wonder why he didn't snatch an email to prove it to us.

Snowden claimed the NSA had 'direct access' to the world's Internet providers. All the companies involved say that's bullshit.

Snowden claimed the NSA can watch our thoughts form as we type. Any evidence they are doing that? No.

Snowden claimed the NSA is downloading the Internet on a daily basis. Any evidence? No.

Snowden said he "saw things" but he has never said what that means.

He was not an Intelligence Analyst so he was never in a position to "see things" in the first place. If he somehow gained access through hook or crook, why didn't he get something to support his claims?

There is a reason China didn't want him and even the Wikileaks attorneys don't want him. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002310173

That makes you send money to it every year. They collect pages and pages of data about everything you own, how much you made, and everything!

And Obama expanded its powers with Obamacare... almost makes me want to hide under my bed at night... but we need to expose this for freedom!

Don't even get me started on the agency that hands out little cards with your name and a unique number. They're totally marking us like Hitler did with his IBM computers during the Holocaust.

He didn't plan for his escape and he seems quite incapable of admitting that he might have been mistaken about some things, such as the 'direct access' claim.

He seems to have gone through this entire process from start to finish without much in the way of self-reflection.

government intelligence programs. It's something we should always be doing. Has nothing to do with Snowden. Booz-Allen seems to have a ton of personal data on every American. I dont know it's true but we should decide as an INTELLIGENT society to find out and decide if we like it.

There can only be a couple of reasons why some would want to concentrate on Snowden.
1. They simply cant deal with the idea that their government isnt being truthful to them and tucking them in at night.
2. They enjoy the comfort that a strong, tough, authoritarian state run by Herr Clapper unt Herr Mueller brings. Booz-Allen uber alles.
3. They are Conservatives.

The Oligarch Overlords are saying "hey look over there at Snowden" and the nitwits among us do as they are told.

You dont want the truth so you use character assassination to deflect the conversation. Let's talk about what the NSA and Booz-Allen are actually doing. Are you interested? Booz-Allen may have a compilation of data on all Americans. Is Booz-Allen a loyal friend of the USofA or are they willing to sell the information to the highest bidder? Will Booz-Allen use the data to influence elections? Congressional votes?

Do you care? Or do you instead obsess with "Look at Snowden, Look at Snowden."
