GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul visits KC to energize his base
Republican Ron Paul began his 36-minute speech at Union Station Saturday night with what he called the shorthand version of what his presidential campaign is all about.
“The Constitution!” Paul shouted.
“Sound money.”
“End the Fed.”
“Equal justice under the law.”
“Repeal the president’s power to assassinate American citizens.”
With each phrase, the crowd, which numbered in the hundreds and possibly into the low thousands, roared back their approval.
