Carlos Danger: Anthony Weiner Confirms Authenticity Of New Sex Chats

New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner confirmed the authenticity of new lewd, sexually charged online chats that were posted by a nightlife website over the past day.
Nightlife site "The Dirty" posted images of conversations that allegedly came from Weiner to a 22-year-old woman under the pseudonym "Carlos Danger."

“I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have," Weiner said in a statement released by his campaign Tuesday afternoon.

"As I have said in the past, these things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress. While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong. This behavior is behind me. I've apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness. I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption that this has caused. As my wife and I have said, we are focused on moving forward.”

Weiner's statement does not address the crucial question of the timeline of when they occurred, and whether or not they came after his fall and resignation from Congress in 2011 amid the initial scandal. He did note, however, that the challenges in his marriage "extended past my resignation from Congress."

The chats are not dated. The Dirty's source says that she carried on an online relationship with Weiner until August 2012 — which would be well after his resignation in June 2011.

He has no self-control. Doing this after his resignation shows just how deep this problem goes.

If he is willing to skate on the edge of danger, how can you trust him?
He needs help, not power.

How do you expect him to have any credibility to push an agenda? He's a punchline now.
I didn't say vote for Quinn. If there isn't another decent Dem to oppose her, then the party is in sad shape.

Already burned once by online sexting, and he goes for it again AND tries to get back into public office.

And he told the truth to the media when confronted about it.

I don't really care what he does in his spare time.

I miss having his voice in the U.S. Congress and think he'd make a great Mayor.

This is a new occurrence AFTER he resigned.

How do you expect him to represent any women's issues seriously?

I usually don't give a happy damn about personal hobbies either. Trolling the interwebs to find women to satisfy this urge is way different.

Having said that, if I were living in NYC I would vote for Quinn. I'd do more research, but my initial reaction to her has been favorable...

Okay. The dude effed up. Badly. He's sorry. He was stupid. But he's a Liberal firebrand and there are not nearly enough of those anywhere. I'd rather have him than some squeaky clean TBer.

You really think there won't be more of this after he takes office? The man has problems holding onto elected office because of some personal issues.

He'll either resign again or possibly be blackmailed by someone who gets more dirt on him.

Could he have a high desire and his wife a low one? It's probably not any of our business, but like it or not, changing sexual desires could be a big issue in any long-term marriage.

Older women tend to lose desire for sex, among other issues.
