The war on women is happening everywhere - crazy state legislators have trampled on the rights of women. Sign me up for protests both at home and in DC:

Marching on Washington isn't what it used to be. The MSM treat it as an everyday occurrence. The National Mall is a human corral.
Nothing is going to change until we show up on their doorsteps.

(1,400 posts)Not directed at Congress.
Not at the Tea Party.
Not at this state or that state.
Certainly not at generic conservatives.
And not at ALEC or the Kochs, who nobody knows.
But directly at REPUBLICANS. Republicans in Congress and Republicans in state governments.
Don't dilute the message.
If there's no focus on the party responsible for passing all these laws, a march may well be pointless.

(12,081 posts)Women, labor, minority voters, educators, students, people on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, 4th Amendment advocates. We are the 99%. They may have squashed Occupy but the suffering still exists and someday there will be a protest they cannot put down.

(12,081 posts)A single protest march does not change it, but a sustained fight does.
