Pa. police chief who made profanity-laced videos and fired guns suspended 30 days without pay

An eastern Pennsylvania town police chief who appears in online videos using profanity and shooting automatic weapons has been suspended for 30 days without pay.

The borough council of Gilberton in Schuylkill (SKOO’-kul) County decided at a meeting Wednesday night to suspend Chief Mark Kessler, saying he misused borough property. It says he used the weapons without permission.

Kessler says he made the videos to draw attention to the erosion of the constitutional rights of free speech and to bear arms.

Gilberton Mayor Mary Lou Hannon says she found the police chief’s language offensive.

Fire his ass, and revoke his gun permit, and ban him from owning guns for life.

He's administrative, and the manager or mayor need to build a case.

Can't wait till this asshole violates again... or maybe the taxpayers will have to foot the bill to him to "sensitivity training", eh?

He should be fired, then arrested for threats against elected officials, and a long prison sentence. If he ever gets out, he should never be allowed to get a job in law enforcement or private security again.

The gun people are bolder than ever; and as far as free speech - well, as a police chief he should check with his fellow officers around the country who infringe upon the rights of ordinary people daily.

Since he's the chief - the boss - he should be fired. The chief sets the tone for the department.

Anyway, he's not too bright if he truly believes there is an erosion of his Constitutional rights.

My take is he's just an asshole, and figured out a way to be even a bigger asshole while abusing his authority and public property.

In a video game you say your going to kill people. 10-20 years in jail for making terrorist threats.
Guy blatantly shoots up a doll that is supposed to be Pelosi and Obama nothing.

Couldn't both cases be tried as the same thing?

Initially, she seemed to jump to his defense because "this was something he did on his own time". WTF? The only reason he was given this slap on the wrist was because of the backlash.
