How far the big money "journalists" have fallen.

I was struck tonight as Howard Fineman, one of MSNBC's favorite pundit-guests, was introduced as part of a panel on O'Donnell's show.

Howard is now the "political editor of AOL and an MSNBC contributor."

Wow! This guy used to be a big cheese and Lord High Mucky-Muck at Newsweek. They let him go for no more a reason than his fat salary. Then he went to Huffington Post. And now he's at AOL (AOL? Who even knew they were still in business???)

His fall is pretty typical. A lot of other talking heads have followed the same sort of path.

I wonder how Howie pays his mortgage these days.

have let the american people down. They aren't really giving us what is really going on in the world. It is very sad.

I agree. They have hurt the political process. Fineman is one of the worst. Michael Issikoff is worse.

a talk show. I hate the annual press association dinner where the press and politicans and now hollow wood joins in the gathering. It is so seedy. It is like inviting the wolf into the chicken coup.

He's a loss leader for Huffington Post. (Yeah, I worked in a grocery store) HuffPo is trying to "legitimize" their brand with so-called "legitimate" pundits.

Do AOL and HuffPo have a relationship?

Reporters nowdays are just PR operatives for one or the other of the 2 political parties. Local news people are more honest. The media is more or less Super Super Pacs.

He took the Huffington Post/AOL thing to settle down in one place, is how he explained his deciding to take the position.
