Newt wrong again... Obama WAS asked about partial birth abortions.

During tonights debate, Newt Gingrich once again lashed out at the media. This time he defiantly claimed that not once had any member of the media asked President Obama about partial birth abortions during the 2008 Presidential campaign.

But of course..... THEY DID!

Here is a link from Politico.

In addition, while watching the debate, I SPECIFICALLY remembered Obama being asked this question during the 2008 Presidential debates. Of course, I found the clip on youtube in just 2 seconds.

This is would be funny if it were not so sad.

I am starting to feel like John Stewart from Comedy Central. It really isn't even fun anymore.

I am an average Joe/Jane. I work hard at my job all day in a profession that is about as far away from politics as one can get. I have no research team. No Super Pac. No campaign. Its just me. My apartment. My computer. And my TV. And with that as a back drop, it frankly amazes me how often I can just listen to Gingrich speak and can factually recall the specific incident which proves his claim to be false.

This is now my second thread in less than 24 hours proving that a central theme to a Gingrich presentation is a total lie. (see below)

I could argue that Colbert and Stewart have the easiest job in the world.

How is it that I honestly know more about many of these topics than the GOP candidates do? Do they have editors? Do they have researchers to help them with simple facts? Heck, do they have a person with a computer than could just do a quick google search before they speak?

Its truly sad... and scary.

Basically the wingnuts' false claims of media bias has created an atmosphere that unless the media is challenging members of the political spectrum equally, they aren't being "fair and balanced". Therefore politicians on the right are free to lie as much as they want knowing they won't be challenged to any great extent.

They say what they want because unlike people like you, most people won't check to see if they are telling the truth. They will just believe whatever they are told.

ReTHUGS lie all the time. They do not care - it's pathological. They want power by any means necessary.

and it pisses me off that the media does not push back on that. Last night John King just let it ride like he was afraid to make any comment. What even more troubling is that much of the media (Murdoch controlled) is truely in the tank for the Republicans.
