I saw this in the starbucks thread yesterday:
"I think it's disgusting," said one woman leaving the coffee shop. "I love my Starbucks. This has nothing to do with them."
Shannon Doherty, of Sandy Hook, who was at Sandy Hook Elementary School the day of the shooting, compared the appearance of the gun rights advocates to that of the Westboro Baptist Church, the group that rallies, or at least threatens to rally, at sensitive places to carry forth their message against homosexuals.

It's true... They could show something that resembles humanity but instead, time after time, they come to wherever they can spread the maximum amount of pain.
Gun nuts... Doing their best to spread their culture of murder, with their guns right in the face of their victims.
So very fucked up.

I'm not a gun nut, but is this what passes as "responsible"?
That thing doesn't look very secure.
Maybe someone could open a "no weapons" locally-owned coffee shop. They'd get my money.

(13,259 posts)The need of people like Westbrook to insert themselves into situations that have nothing to do with them or their issue is a obviously a manifestation of some sort of strange psychology. This thing of ostentatiously carrying your guns into places that have nothing to do with them seems very much the same.
Every time the gun-promoters do this kind of thing, they seem to appear less and less "reasonable" or "responsible." It makes them appear to have a personal psychological agenda that is quite the opposite.

Gordon Klingenschmitt is a former Navy chaplain and heres what he had to say to his conservative internet audience.
I think Jesus would favor the Second Amendment. This is my opinion, that the Holy Spirit would allow the citizens to protect themselves rather than delegating that to a government to go out arm themselves against the citizens in the name of protecting the citizens.
If you dont have a gun, Im telling you as a Christian chaplain, sell your clothes and buy a gun. Its time. The government persecution will be coming against you and you need to arm yourselves and defend your family when that time comes.

Guess what, we're not an open carry state anymore. These idiots made it easy to pass the law banning open carry. I hope it has the same result in every open carry state.
