http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/4/im-not-sure-how-trust-george-zimmermans-family-for/
Soon after his brother George Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Robert Zimmerman Jr. revealed last week that their family is forced to live in isolation for fear of those still angry with the verdict.
You dont know if some one stops you in public and says, excuse me, sir, you dont know if you dropped your wallet, or if someone recognizes you and wants to kill you, he told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.
The Zimmerman family has been living in complete isolation since the verdict, only leaving the house when its absolutely necessary.
It taxes everyones mind, knowing you have to stay in touch and in constant communication because of the threats, Mr. Zimmerman told Breitbart. Are we doing everything to stay alive at home, and if any of us have to leave, are we doing everything we can to support each other?

(30,885 posts)...not sure if he was going to be able to go home and enjoy his Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea or be murdered in cold blood by a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain.
My heart goes out to the uncertain members of the Zimmerman family.

(30,885 posts)There's so much truth behind what you've posted. He got away with murder. He knows it. His loud-mouthed brother knows it. Mommy and Daddy know it. Trayvon's parents know it.
I think my favorite part of the trial was the manner in which O'Mara and his team attempted character assasination on a corpse. This fucker must sleep very soundly every night, on a big stack of cash.

(423 posts)Maybe George will think twice before killing another innocent person.
How's it feel to live in fear, karma baby.
Do I feel bad for the family? I'm not sure- did they think their son was innocent? Were they happy that he was not convicted?

(6,228 posts)I have no problem with the views toward George, but why does his entire family deserve the fear? Sins of the father and all that...
Amerigo Vespucci
(30,885 posts)His parents stuck pretty close to "our son is a good boy" but if you read some of Robert Zimmerman's interviews, I think he did a pretty good job of making some enemies of his own. Do a DU search on "Robert Zimmerman," read some of the threads...you'll see what I mean.
ProudToBeBlueInRhody
(16,399 posts)....showed him to be an asshole of the highest order. His patronizing "George has mentored young black boys" and "What would make a young man so angry as Trayvon to attack my brother" is all I needed to hear from that shitstain.

(30,885 posts)I think the Zimmerman brothers are extremely unpopular, due to a direct result of their own words and / or actions, and if they have a fear of the public, they planted the seeds.
If I went on TV and talked trash in teh same manner as Robert Zimmerman, I'd probably be concerned for my safety, too.

(15,189 posts)Those are the only ones I know of that agree with the jury. This is the karma of a wrong verdict. They thought the worst was behind them. Only now they have to look behind them EVERYWHERE they go. I have NO sympathy. I have sympathy for Trayvon's parents.
joeglow3
(6,228 posts)What do you expect a parent to say? "That was bullshit and my so should be on death row?" I hardly consider the fact that they acted like a parent worthy of living your life in fear.
Amerigo Vespucci
(30,885 posts)Agreed, the Zimmerman parents acted like Zimmerman's parents and his brother acted like an asshole. And when assholes go out in public, sometimes people say "There goes the asshole." If that's Robert Zimmerman's future, he created it.

(76 posts)... even doubt this man's guilt when his own mother won't speak to his defense!?
joeglow3
(6,228 posts)You say he is guilty because of a lack of his mother speaking out, while so many demand she not speak out to show respect for the Martin family. You can't have both.
... that any reasonable juror would expect and overall disregard a defense of their son. In the same vein they will look strongly and negatively upon a lack of a defense.
I think if Zimmerman's mother hadn't come out and said she believed him it would have been damning. Not to mention the fact that she probably believes his version over the Martin family and thus is justfied in expressing her position even if it causes the Martins emotional turmoil.
