The now former Philadelphia Police lieutenant who was captured on a YouTube video striking a woman during 2012's Puerto Rican Day Parade has been given his job back and will receive all back pay.
The infamous tape, which was viewed over and over again across multiple media outlets, led to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams to charge Josey with a simple assault charge.
Josey was found not guilty, but was still out of a job. Today, an arbitrator ruled that Josey's job must be reinstated.
Josey told FOX 29 in a one-on-one interview that he desperately wanted back the job that he loves.

(3,871 posts)Questions about a conflict of interest for the judge who ruled in a controversial police-beating case
By Dan Stamm | Thursday, Feb 28, 2013
Philadelphia's police commissioner, watchdog groups and the court of public opinion are questioning why a Philadelphia judge who is married to a Philadelphia police officer was able to rule on a case in which a former Philly officer was accused of striking a woman -- a moment caught on camera.
Philadelphia District Judge Patrick Dugan acquitted former lieutenant Jonathan Josey of assault. Dugan is married to a 9th District Philadelphia Police officer and NBC10 learned through financial disclosure reports that Dugans mortgage is through the Police and Fire Credit Union. Those connections led to some critics to question if the judge could be impartial while ruling in the case against Josey.
That is something that when I heard it certainly is troubling, said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.
Its unknown if another judge would have ruled the same way as Dugan did. Dugan said Tuesday that the video, which appears to clearly show Josey striking Aida Guzman at last years Puerto Rican Day festivities, "didnt tell the whole story."
