RNC eyeing Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin as possible 2016 debate moderators

The Republican National Committee is considering conservative radio hosts Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin as possible presidential debate moderators, according to the Washington Examiner.

The trio of right-wing hosts would be a shift from 2012, when most GOP debates were moderated by more mainstream journalists.

Some Republicans rankled at how those debates were handled, complaining especially loudly about CNN anchor John King's line of questioning during a South Carolina debate.

The move comes as the RNC is considering how to limit the number of debates heading into 2016, and threatening to ban CNN and NBC for hosting debates because of their networks' plan to run a miniseries focused on Hillary Clinton.

...can only dream of so much comedy gold in one place at one time. I'm all for it. Turn on the crazy and let it roll...scare the crap out of any moderate voter. Things worked out soooo well for the unhinged candidates in 2008 like Herman Cane and Michele Bachman and Ricky Rectorum. We're sure to get another bumper crop of stupid in 2016 and whose better to show off the crazy?

They aren't even bothering to phone it in anymore.

They built the infrastructure in the 90's to do any darn thing they wanted with the world economy and did the same in the 00's to both control the masses and guarantee the flow of taxpayer cash to the top.

Now they can just sit back sneer because when we do finally run them all from office they'll go with their riches intact.

Finding reality has a bias against the insanity that is the modern republican party - their only option it to retreat deeper into their self delusional echo chamber.

We could be witnessing the complete collapse of the Republican Party as a national political party.

Limbaugh had claimed that he probably wouldn't be able to do it because he's "too famous". Frankly, I think he's right, but for the wrong reason. The types of things he is "famous" for are not exactly good--the vast majority of denizens outside of the RW circle jerk see him as a racist, misogynist, homophobic, hate-mongering liar. Having him moderate one of their debates would be ultimate political suicide for the GOP.

Their negative numbers among some of the very groups they desperately need to win are very high I would imagine. I don't see how they can possibly be assured that these guys won't go off script or mishandle a situation. There are too many unknown, unintended consequences to picking these guys. For example, the late night comedians will have a field day with Blimpy asking questions. Lastly, Rush has proven on two occasions that he sucks at doing television.
Cheers!

"Limbaugh, maybe. Hannity? not on your life. Levin, DEFINITELY!!"

they are also TIRED of Hannity!

"...Hannity is a moderate NOT a republican so should not be invited, and he isn’t constervative."

"Sheesh -not Hannity..he’ll attempt to make it all about him."

"Worse, he won't let them answer the question, or will rephrase the answer in a form that matches Hannity's way of speaking."

"Or, even worse, he (Hannity) will talk over them while they are answering the question. Hannity is NOT a fav "

"Levin would be excellent. Limbaugh would likely be OK, he'd at least take it as a serious responsibility. Hannity would debate with himself for 90 minutes."
