I actually knew someone who used a coathanger to abort in the early 60's. It really happened, folks. If you or.your family had.money and connections, you might be lucky enough to get a sympathetic doctor to refer you to an actual.MD who would perform a d&c without ansesthesia for $500... the equivalent of at least $5000 today. It was bad. Very, very bad.
