Listening to MSNBC on th radio today I really blew a gasket (rant)

a lot of the news related to the Canadian senator from my home state of Texas, the Thuggish senate candidate from New Jersey ("NEW JURSEY!?!?!" - no offense meant, it's sort of obligatory down here)?

I was listening to [strike through]Tom Cruise[/strike through] talking about conservatives winning the argument.?!?!?!

To win any argument they have to first get the other side (that would be any sane individual) to accept the premise that extreme x 100 racism, hate and greed is an acceptable starting point or premise from which to argue.

I have always liked J.K. Galbraith's position that "The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."
Conservatives used to at least pretend - and some even convinced themselves that there was such a moral justification:

"Trickle down will build a strong economy and that will raise all boats." - (unfortunately there's no consideration for those of us who are using our last ounce of energy to just tread water) Or the excuse that tax cuts for the rich would actually create jobs for the poor. (because the rich will be able to have more extravagant parties for which they need a wait staff - or in Paula Deen's case, a room full of Step-n-fetch-its aka slaves)

But now they are not even trying to pretend! They don't give a good goddamn about the poor and they don't give a shit who knows it. - 47% be damned - "Hey let's all go to the debate so we can boo and hiss at the gay serviceman and applaud somebodies death because they can't afford health insurance. That New Jersey (OK, I'm not going to do it again) candidate takes the cake with "I'm sorry you have cancer, but it's not my problem." (or something pretty fucking close to that)

Ok, now I know I am mad, because I really don't care for the "F" word. I know some of you do, and I'm sorry, but its not my problem

Actually, that guy lied right there because he's not sorry at all. He doesn't give to shits about you.

In fact, Alan Grayson was exactly right when he said that their health care policy was "Die quickly." But even more than that, that is their position on any body who is slightly left of Attila the fucking Hun: Just DIE! DIE! DIE!

I have a bumper sticker on my car: "I LIKE Obamacare" Well, my wife and I decided to take it off. Our replacement: "I LOVE Obamacare"

Oh, I think that
single Payer would definitely be an improvement - and I was pissed the way Obama ditched the idea of a public option.

But to my mind the best argument anybody has ever made for Obama care is: Ted Cannuck Cruz, et. al.

OK, I'm through ... return to your regular activity
