I came across an old clip from December 25, 2000 regarding Bill Clinton.
The article is titled, "The Wisdom to Let the Good Times Roll," by Richard W. Stevenson. Front Page, Monday, Dec. 25, 2000.
Here's the quote that caught my eye:
"He did a good job in allowing the market mechanism to work on its own; he was not an interventionist. He supported the bill that eliminated many rules and laws enacted in the Great Depression. Normally, a Democratic president would support the labor unions against Nafta and the W.T.O, and he did not." Sun Won Sohn, Chief economist, Wells Fargo Bank.
I read that and said, "OUCH!"

Clinton cemented Reagan's trickle down.
And Obama is cementing the perpetual war surveillance state.

The other factor was Bush and his lack of attention to security issues, which took us into two wars.
