I have a crazy theory about the free college idea...

If it would come to fruition, and I do not think I will see it in my lifetime (said same thing about an AA prez too though) I think an unintended consequence would be an increase in adoptions. I would consider it myself. That would be a huge expense to not have to worry about, and I would want my child to have that chance. My wife was able to get her masters, but that was only because I dropped out, and worked several jobs.

Raise the SS cap to pay for it and for single payer health care.

would like to adopt. We were unable to conceive naturally ever or twice with in vitro fertilization. And the bush jr years were brutal in terms of our finances, so I have not wanted to take on that cost. I would take on several kids if I did not have to worry about paying for college. I hope that does not sound strange, I already know I would be a great parent, based on my years as a teachers aide at a Montessori school, and because I love kids and had always planned to have several children, but it was not to be.
