"I don't know much" - I spent 25 years in the Middle East and I know a little bit about it and I am neutral precisely because I know something about it.

Since nobody else ever seems to. But I also worry that if they have de facto autonomous regions in Iraq and Syria that's going to wind up being a threat to Turkey.

I support the citizens who have no say and are the one who die or are made refugees against their right to live. The only answer that is logical is to support a stalemate. There will be no winner no matter what happens unfortunately. I support the silent unheard masses.

then the only thing we will do by intervening militarily is add to the pile of bodies.

But I can't decide if I support invasion. On one hand I believe when this started the rebels had real grievances but I fear since than the whole thing has been hijacked by fringe groups. I truly believe a leader raging chemical warfare against a civilian populace should have a one way ticket six feet under. But the reasons stopping me from completely getting gung ho over intervention is one of the groups involved on the rebel side is al qaeda a group who has the ability to make crude chemical weapons and also has proven they have no problem targeting civilians to forward their cause. I'd like to see a true investigation into this done. But I think intervening right now will do more harm than good
