Does it seem like a good idea not only to wait for the UN Weapons Inspectors to report their findings, but also to get that great big playpen Congress to get back to Washington to do their job regarding the use of American force?

This feels so much like 2003 that I have to keep checking the calendar...

1. Same old, same old. Congress critters are probably thanking

their lucky stars they're out of session. They don't want to put
their votes out there for their constituents to see! Voting could
be damaging to the next election. I don't think the President
gives a hoot about their opinions and might get bogged down
which would hinder this fast move against Syria.

of a Unitary Executive or something like that. The Constitution, as Cheney remarked about the Geneva Conventions, is a quaint document I suppose. ?

7. If the regime is using gas on its own citizens

what's to stop them from using them on foreigners? Not a thing. No boots on the ground in Syria, it will only end poorly for everyone involved.
