Taxpayer Dollars Paid A Third Of Richest Corporate CEOs: Report (Huffpost)

So who are the real "takers"?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/28/richest-ceos-compensation-ceos_n_3825087.html

WASHINGTON -- More than one-third of the nation's highest-paid CEOs from the past two decades led companies that were subsidized by American taxpayers, according to a report released Wednesday by the Institute for Policy Studies, a liberal think tank.

"Financial bailouts offer just one example of how a significant number of America's CEO pay leaders owe much of their good fortune to America's taxpayers," reads the report. "Government contracts offer another."

subsidize

sub·si·dize
ˈsəbsəˌdīz
verb

1.
support (an organization or activity) financially.

It might not be the codified definition of subsidy, but definitely supported by taxpayers.

Isn't the whole privatization agenda a way to put tax money into private hands while paying the people who do the work less than the public sector?

It is not that complicatd. Vendor x sell the govt 10000 rolls of toilet paper for cheaper than anyone else pays , true, and they pay him in 60 to 90 days. Fair trade. Not a subsidy not a gift. Same thing for service.
