Don't strike and keep the Democrats from starting a war. Why are we the worlds police when things at home are so fucked up.

Easiest decision he'll ever make: Don't strike.

Obama has been hit time and again by the warmongers and he has pretty much satiated them. Now all has has to do is say: NO. Slam dunk, and all us peace loving purists will have his back, finally, for once.

"The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation. In instances of self-defense, the president would be within his constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking its consent." -Barack Obama, December 20, 2007

But, all of us know that Congress is dysfunctional. 50% of Americans would support limited action, I am not among that 50% because I don't see gains for the USA.

"collected streams" of data in the few days before the attack, the assessment of the data occurred afterwards.

While they say they "collected" the streams of info -- in the past tense; they consistently use the present tense in describing how they "assess" the data and what the data "reveals."

This is in line with how Sybil Edmonds described what happened after 9/11, when she was called in to translate previously taped conversations.

They don't have the budget or the staff with the language skills to translate and interpret in real time every possible significant communication in every hot spot around the world. So often what they do -- as in the case with the Boston marathon -- is go back to the "collected streams" after-the-fact. And at that point the question of how to interpret the bits of information is much more clear. Hindsight is always 20/20.

standing of American abroad - Done, Improved Consumer protection from lenders - Done, Increased Green Energy use - Done and moving forward, Got the ONLY national health care legislation EVER approved and in implementation - Done and moving forward.

The President has disillusioned a wide swath of people, 50% of Americans say they could support limited action against Syria. The far Left is disillusioned, but that element would only be happy if the nation has Single Payer NOW, Dammit!!!, rich people stripped of all money and beaten on the nearest lamp posts, oilmen running for their lives. While I agree with the far Left on what they want to see, I think the world would be better if we got changes that the far Left wants, their degree and methods are extreme, IMO.

we lost 8 years that could have been spent moving single payer forward. It didn't have to be "NOW, Dammit!!!" It just needed to be on the table. Like so many other things. Who knows what will happen in '16? I don't, but I'll predict now that the Democratic Party won't nominate a liberal from the left of center, there will not be a good liberal/left candidate on the ballot to vote for in the GE, and single payer, along with many other things good for the 99%, will remain off the table. At this point, I don't expect to see "what I want to see" on the table for work, discussion, or progress during what's left of my lifetime.

"Far left?" There is no far left in the United States. There are some people to the left of center, with the rest of the population spread from center to the far right.
