The President Has Spoken. Now We Should Act.

So, what next? What's next is for all of us to stop bickering endlessly with each other and to communicate with our Congressional representatives. Each of us has three of those.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm working on the emails I'll be sending to mine. It's going to take some thought and preparation, since I want the emails I send to have an effect. I'm going to make my point and defend it with the facts available to me.

That is the only thing that will have any effect on what happens with regard to Syria at this point. I hope everyone on DU will do the same thing.

Write to all three of them. That is an action we can all take, and is the appropriate one in this situation. Make your opinion known to the people who will be voting on this. If not now, when?

In short, we can do both: contact our Congresscritters and continue "bickering".

Easy as pie. It is not a binary choice for all of us. But I agree, contact them all and the WH.

our own decision making process accomplishing nothing, in which case DU is an utter waste of time each day.
It's simply not a binary choice.

We should never forget our power to communicate with our own legislators. It can make a difference.

The ball is now in your court. Do your part in influencing the congressional vote. If you feel so strongly on the issue, then act on it instead of engaging in pointless bickering.

It's pretty much a toss up in that chamber. No slam dunk for war or for peace, so anyone of any opinion should let it be known.

But as for myself, I'm neutral. I can't decide based on the limited info that has been released to the public. Im just going to trust the President's judgement to do the right thing in making this ddifficult decision. I voted for him to do exactly what he's doing.
