I'm going to hedge my bet and say Romney squeaks it out. But to be honest, I really don't know what will happen last night.

(18,115 posts)They are both repugnant, each for their own reasons. They have also inflicted so much damage on each other and egos are so inflated that I don't think any of the candidates can walk away actually appearing as winners.

(26,262 posts)The whole encouraging Democrats to turn out and vote for him is pretty strange, though, since most Democrats think Santorum would be the easiest to beat in the general election.

In fact, those solicitations are no doubt intended at least in part to pull for "vote for Frothy to screw the Republicans" Democratic votes.

(4,667 posts)I thought momentum was with Romney. But for some reason over the last 24hrs I think it has switched again. I really thought the polls today would show Romney increasing his lead. But the opposite is happening. Santorum right now actually has the momentum. It is really going to be close. I think Romney still wins, but its not going to be called until very late into the night.
