Obama is determined to go it alone in Syria, even if no other US ally joins the party. The Senate is poised to give the President the (unnecessary, but official-sounding) green light he needs to begin bombing at will.
Get ready for shock and awe 2.0, Truthseekers. On another country that has taken no provocative action against us, or posed any threat to us.
This could get ugly. We announce to the Syrian regime that we are sending in the drones, but no actual troops. What would we expect their response to be? Will they shrug their shoulders and wait for the hellfire to rain down and shatter their cities, turn innocent families into red mist? Likely not.
We can, and should, expect retaliation. CBS News reports:

President Bashar Assad warned that any military strike against his country would spark an uncontrollable regional war and spread “chaos and extremism.”
“The Middle East is a powder keg, and today the flame is coming very near. We cannot talk merely about the Syrian response, but about what might take place after the first strike. But nobody knows what will happen. Everyone will lose control of the situation when the powder keg explodes. Chaos and extremism will spread. There is a risk of regional war,” Assad said in an interview published Monday by French newspaper Le Figaro.
Is that the underlying plan? A regional war? Who benefits then, Truthseekers? Certainly not the Syrian people. At least the President is sparing us the whimsical Dubyesque rhetoric about spreading democracy and freedom and being welcomed with roses and chocolates, and little girls wearing white shoes and flying kites once the poor, innocent citizens of Syria are “liberated.”
That ridiculous myth lays buried under the rubble of buildings and stacks of bodies in Iraq and Afghanistan. Are we ready to face the same “welcome” in Syria?
And we must ask, if the use of chemical weapons against their own people (insert irony here) is so serious that the United States has no choice but to bomb the bejeezus out of the country, then were are our allies? The UK will not join us, France is on the fence, Putin is sending a missile cruiser into the region to protect it’s ally, Syria, and none of the NATO or UN nations have committed thus far to assist in this murderous effort.
Why do our leaders in DC feel the need to pull the trigger when no other ally is fully on board? Have we become the cops of the world, or worse, the proxy army of the Royal Saudi family?

Toilets are frightening!
That's the sound Phyllis makes when I pick her up.
I'll have to figure out how to upload pix of Phyllis from my Smartphone. She is such a little coquette. My 10-minute walks are turning into an hour, because the neighbors, landscapers & pool guy all have to play with her.
Hoping that all is well with you! I remember the two older boys upstairs yelling, 'it's a volcano!', and I ran upstairs with the youngest on my hip. They'd put items into the toilet along with vinegar and baking soda, and yeah, it was a friggin' mess. It's funny now.
That's not what I did today, nope, nope, not at all.
We recently had a $300 plumbing bill when our kitchen sink backed up. Eggshells in the pipes. I didn't realize when you ground them up in the disposal they formed a kind of cement that would build up in your sewage system. What a mess.
but the audio is on boiling frogs somewhere, the mr. heard it and his jaw dropped...the NSA isn't so innocent, spying on us isn't a big deal. Changed the mr.'s mind in a heartbeat.
