As in, All the nonsense that's in our foods, what we are prohibited from knowing about?
Ammonia in beef driplets is the least of it. Why don't we focus on what's making everyone fat, no matter how much they eat?
HFCS is doing it's part to kill Americans, as is extra salt, fat, sugar added into most everything--NOT JUST processed foods, but "fresh" foods as well--color injected or fed into animals we eat, antibiotics which have made most others lose efficacy, chemicals flushed into water supplies, oceans, lakes, rivers that certainly affect other animals.
So, why, goddammit, don't we stop these atrocities, which affect Americans on a daily basis, before getting involved in a civil war which has only recently used/maybe not, chemical weapons on others, while chemical weapons are being routinely used against Americans and directly affect our own citizens?

(5,105 posts)The gov't allows a certain percentage of insect parts and rat feces, as they have for decades, but the new shit allowed as "healthy" is anything but. Untested GMO is only one example.

I love Thai food, and would love to try that. It really is just another kind of meat.
I would squiggle at rats, roaches, slugs, etc., but know they are probably a delicacy somewhere, and may become a part of our diet as resources dry up. Still, sheep's eyes would be too weird, as they would watch me eating them. I hear they're delicious, and every part of an edible animal would be considered edible, even in hot dogs, bologna or head cheese, but I guess I just wouldn't want to think about it.
Sort of the ignorant curtain Americans like to build for ourselves.

DISCLAIMER: I have no idea how to accomplish that goal. I sure as hell wish I did.

(5,105 posts)I hear and understand you, but I can't support getting into another country's civil war when so many of our own children are malnourished, our infrastructure is crumbling, and "religious" extremists have a stronghold on our gov't. America needs to use our resources to help America and Americans for a change.
The "Greatful Dead" were classified as the people who died instantly in the event of nuclear war, hence the band name. They wouldn't have suffered as much as those trying to stay alive outside the inner circles of a nuclear strike.
Most of us could probably be classified as outside the circle the Repigs created starting with Raygun.
