The notion of weakening the Presidency
A popular talking point is the idea that a no vote on Syria would weaken the Obama Presidency. Or the President might look bad if Congress doesn't back the absurd Syrian bombing plan.
It's too damn bad if the President looks bad. He deserves to look bad when he tries to sell the public on awful policies.
