1. We Have Been Gored From Far Too Many Wars Lately

There was a time when Congress and even the Pentagon was careful not to stir up "war". They went through legal channels, had to make an official declaration--you know like WWI WWI but then it started getting easier with the "police action" of Korea. Viet Nam rarely had any kind of handle but it killed and maimed just the same. By the time the Gulf series came into play they didn't even bother giving us excuses. There were always a lot of lies and half truths of why we should jump at the chance to start playing war games again but people started getting very tired of it all. All the lives that were wasted for what seemed to be little cause at all. All the money wasted that people realized could have repaired bridges,schools or simply feeding people. Now they are itching to start again. I wish they had a similar itch for all the social programs they have trodden on in the past thirty years.
