Florida Police Chief: Either George Zimmerman Or His Lawyer Is Not Telling The Truth

Florida Police Chief: Either George Zimmerman Or His Lawyer Is Not Telling The Truth
BY JUDD LEGUM ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 AT 9:29 AM

The Florida police chief that is actively investigating a confrontation between George Zimmerman, his wife and his father in law says someone is lying: either George Zimmerman or his lawyer.

Both the Lake Mary Florida Police Chief, Steve Bracknell, and the department’s spokesman Zach Hudson confirmed to ThinkProgress that George Zimmerman told officers at the scene that he did not have a gun on him during the incident. This directly contradicts what ZImmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, told CNN:

O’MARA: He acted appropriately. He never took the weapon out. The only thing he really did, which is what he told the police, was on the outside of his shirt, he made sure the gun wasn’t moving anywhere and didn’t do anything because [Zimmerman's father-in-law] Mr. Dean was sort of coming at him, that can sort of be seen in the video.

COOPER: So he had the gun actually on his person not like, in the glove box of his car?

O’MARA: That’s correct.

Bracknell acknowledged the contradiction, telling ThinkProgress “Who is telling the truth? Good question.” He added that O’Mara was “on scene providing legal advice to hid [sic] client.” Bracknell appeared to suggest that O’Mara was well-informed of the facts of the case and had little reason to invent facts — like Zimmerman having a gun — that would be damaging to his client.

2. If there's one thing cops hate more than anything it's being lied to.

If the chief really believes this - it's not going to end well for that fine, upstanding pillar of the community. The PD will find SOMEthing to hang on him.

4. Most telling O'Mara will no longer represent George in the case.

Attorneys do not like being lied to much the same as police.

BS, he's known that all along, yet he still defended him. He could have turned down the high-profile case but he wanted the exposure he knew it would bring, not to mention the money zimmy had raised online.

I'm not sure if he's gotten paid yet but he got a gig at CNN. That's what exposure does for you, and what he was counting on, the scum b_g.

And now he says he's no longer representing him. Guess you'd call that being a principled scumb_g.

9. The piece of crap attorney realizes there is solid evidence beyond a doubt probably in a busted iPad

Given his job has been to create a doubt the screwed up laws in Florida will not shield George this time. I wonder how long the father in law has lived in the Zimmerman compound and where the money came from?

5. The wife also said he had a gun . . .

. . . as did the lawyer. So it's pretty easy to see who's lying — 'ol zimmy himself.

But that should be no surprise to anyone but his maniacal backers who even believe he took 20-30 head bashes onto concrete and got up and walked away with no concussion, no hematoma, no skull fracture, and without being knocked cold or killed even — just a couple of scratches treated with a band-aid.

And after all that he was still lucid enough to kill a teenager, which he did.

The wife said that zimmy also grabbed her iPad and smashed it to get rid of the evidence of his abuse and rage he displayed in the incident (she said he punched her father).

It's finally coming out that zimmerman has rage issues. I'm hoping that forensics can recapture the evidence of this killer's out-of-control temper that Trayvon Martin encountered first hand.

I said after the trial that we would be hearing from him again. He is a walking, talking disaster that is headed for a bad ending. It is obvious that he has serious mental problems. My worry is that he will kill someone again before he is finally locked up or killed.

the TMZ one where he's ordered by police to go backwards hands in air, he stops midway and points to his waist just as he said he did after the police showed up the night he murdered Trayvon. The police did not seem to notice that he was indicating his CW in the back holster where he testified he carried it.

Cops missed checking for the weapon. Dangerous for them.
