K-Mart and a couple of others have their Xmas ads out:

what do you think is appropriate for a business to start with their Xmas advertising?

No TV. Only radio is local indy station, so no ads. I ad block most everything on my internet connection, so no ads there. The only thing I still see are the weekly mailers. Those usually go straight to recycle. Sometimes, if I know I need to get something, I will look to see if there is a coupon available in the weeklys. Ads do not influence me much at all...

and I don't "do" that holiday anyway so I ignore it unless it's a get-in-your-face attack, then I let the attacker know I don't appreciate their input.
